Friendship Garden
The mission of our Friendship Garden is to build community through gardening by creating a space for individuals, families, and groups to come together to grow food and flowers.
The northwest corner of the church property became a community garden in 2009. The mission is to build community through gardening by creating a space for individuals, families, and groups to come together to grow food and flowers.
The garden area is about ninety by ninety-five feet. There are individual plots which are available to the people in the community to grow their own produce. Individuals apply for a plot by filling out an application and signing a contract.
Donation of surplus produce will be asked from all gardeners to share with shut-ins, nursing homes, Friendship Feast guests, and others in need.
