Friendship Bikes is an all-volunteer bicycle ministry developed to provide wheels and hope, to people who need bicycles, but cannot afford them.
Bike Team members repair gently used, donated bikes to give to those in need of basic transportation, recreation or exercise. Requirements for a bike are to watch a safety video and sign a pledge to be a safe and courteous rider.

Drawing from the Biblical directive to "love your neighbor as yourself," we call those who come to our Bike Cave "Neighbors." Again, and again, we are made aware that Friendship Bikes is more than giving away bikes, more than working toward economic justice. It is about community and connections.
