Opportunities to be of Service |

Baking Bread For the past year the
Evangelsim Department has been visiting first time guests to our church. They
have been taking a small loaf of quick bread such as Banana Nut Bread to them
the following week after their visit to our church service. Many of our new
members were a result of that contact. We need someone to volunteer to help
with this ministry. It is an important way for us to reach out to visitors.

Flowers for Worship Services Beginning with
our "Homecoming Service" in January, we will have the opportunity
to provide flowers for worship. On that Sunday in particular, the color
of fresh flowers will be particularly welcomed. These fresh flowers may
be purchased to honor or remember friends and family. The cost will be
$30. The flowers will be in a vase that you can take with you after the
service. Call the church office to reserve a special Sunday throughout
the year. A calendar will be posted at the church office for sign up. |

Altar Guild If you are interested in serving your church by
caring for the communion ware, parament cloths, etc., please contact Teresa
Benson. This will be a small group that will not have monthly meetings, but
will instead work behind the scenes to see that our beautiful worship spaces
are conducive to worship. The polishing of brass, the ironing of paraments,
the arranging of flowers are all tasks that are needed on a regular basis. Do

Tech Team is always welcoming new members! If you can run a camcorder, sound system, computer,
etc. or are an electronics technical type, , puhLEEZE contact, Andrea or Mike
Morriss am4kids@kskc.net. Personal training is available. |

Can
You Help?
First Christian Church has an important ministry to individuals of all ages who need a ride to church. We are seeking 4 more van drivers in order to have 8 drivers total. That gives all drivers the flexibility to only have to drive one Sunday every two months. If you are free between 8:30am – 9:20 am and from 11:45-12:30 on any Sunday mornings and would like to be in the van driver pool, please notify the church office so Membership Department can contact you about the qualifications, schedule and participants in this important ministry. |
